Services

I don't do process-driven legal work. Clients come to me when they need to understand a situation clearly, make a judgment, and then decide what to do.

Legal judgment

My value isn't in accumulated knowledge. It's in seeing the legal relationship underneath a situation and reading the facts through it. Often the real difference is a difference in common sense.

I break complex problems into clear judgments and bring structured thinking to an unstructured world.

For founders, investors and executives.

Flagship counsel
A close, year-round relationship. I take part in key decisions, and the work can extend into some legal execution.
Core counsel
Ask whenever something comes up. Judgment questions answered within 5 hours. Includes document review, not drafting.
Focused session
One question, up to 5 calls or meetings, until a judgment takes shape. Limited to 3 per person per year.

Legal tech advisory

I know how legal work flows and how lawyers actually work. Beyond what can be built, I help you decide what should be built.

We work out the path before requirements settle, set priorities before decisions are made, and turn vague business ideas into clear product hypotheses.

For law firm partners, legal tech founders, and in-house legal teams building their own tools.

Project advisor
Shape the business logic, identify user journeys and where demand comes from, and design the product logic. I can also work on feature specs, prompt design and team cadence.

Working together

  • Fees are agreed in conversation. Judgment only has value once we're into the real problem, so work starts after payment and there's no trial.
  • Legal services are provided through Beijing Danghong Qingtian Law Firm under a formal engagement agreement.
  • Before we start, we complete identity verification and a conflict check.
  • Flagship and core counsel run for one year, and either side can decide whether to renew.

Flying

Flying is how I keep my judgment sharp and a little distance from things. I fly light aircraft and paragliders. A few thousand feet up, many problems stop being problems.

Paragliding

Launching from a hillside, the wing open above the valley Running to launch as the green wing rises In helmet, goggles and harness, ready to launch Sorting lines at the launch site Red wing opening overhead

Light aircraft
